Dex a.k.a. "Faceman":

Dex replies, "Well, as you no doubt discovered from our manifests, we had arranged to have our client take care of all our fees in Mos Espa. We would have flown directly there, but, as you can see, our ship took a little damage when we came out of hyperspace, and I knew my friend Coozer here would provide repairs cheaper than the thieves in Mos Espa. Ordinarily, we would go ahead and purchase the permits and have my our client reimburse us, but the repairs have disposed of most of our funds. Is there any chance we can avoid quarantining our cargo. We're only in town until our ship is repaired, and our business will only be conducted in Mos Espa, where I have no doubt the proper permits await us."

Should this fail, I will suggest, "Maybe we could contact our client and have him transmit the permits."

Should the stormtroopers enter the ship, Dex will do his best to vocalize that they are coming in, to warn Jarren and Ian. Something to the effect of , "I really do not think it is necessary that you BOARD THE SHIP."
