Ian:

Ian is quite pleased at the sudden change in environment albeit he thinks the place looks a little too nice for his liking--not exactly the collection of scuzzy villianry and back-room dealings he is used to. Nevertheless, it was exactly that type of environment that got his butt initially handed to the Bothans so Ian mildly tolerates the Oasis although somewhat uncomfortably.

Upon hearing the barkeep's demand that Ian keep "it" under control, he responds picking up Ears "My little friend here is quite well behaved. . .at least as far as I can recall. How about a couple of Andos and directions to Jako's place?"

Ian then meanders over to the booth without waiting for a reply since Ears seems best suited away from the barkeep. Not that Ian is particularly worried about imaginary barkeeps (or real barkeeps for that matter) but the subconscious scars from the last episode arising from a bar keeps Ian's irrational behavior temporary tempered.

After sitting down, Ian looks at Dex and remarks somewhat seriously "So…all those events leading up to the convenient destruction of the Bothans by the Imperials and the Imperial's subsequent inability to intercept the ship seems quite implausible. What exactly led the Imperials to our ship and what was their motivation to blast us out of space?"

Jarren:

With his blaster still pointed at the Jawa leader Jarren tells the ASP droid to enter the ship. Using the communicator he tells Tin man to open the hatch and prepare the ship for take off. With a half smile Jarren tells the Leader. "OK, my little droid stealing thief, this is how its going to play out. I keep the gun pointed at your head until the droid and myself enter the ship. Once the hatch closes then I'll blast off and you and your cohorts and scurry away and try and rob someone else! " Jarren watches the droid enter the ship as best he can while he keeps an eye on the leader. Once Jarren is sure that there is no double cross going on he enters the ship while he keeps his gun pointed at the leader. Once the hatch is closed Jarren races to the cockpit and vaults into the pilot seat and takes off. Not waiting to see if the Jawas get clear of his engine wash. As he is running he yell to Tin Man " Tin man take a look at the ASP droid and make sure he is OK. I don't think that they had time to tamper with him, but check him out just to be sure. " Once Jarren is up in the air and on course he lets out a sigh of relief. "Man that was close" Jarren then radios Dex " Dex come in Dex. I'm on my way, I should be there in a few minutes. I'll wait for you at the hanger bay….Jarren out."

[OCC I'll respond to any question that Dex may have before I end the communication.]

Jarren using the information that Dex gave him about the landing instruction lands at the space port. And waits for his friends……fellow escapees

Dex:

Dex stares siletnly at Ian for a momment trying to maintian his composure as a wave of frustratrion washes over him. He laughs dryly, in a marginally successful attempt to conceal his frustration before replying in a calm, but not entirely friendly tone,

"I have no idea [to what brought the Imperials to the ship, or why they blasted us] nor do I really care. I came to while the Bothans were arguing. They scrambled to the escape pod, and we overheard the Imperials on the radio. Look, if you want to…" Before finishing, Dex is overcome with the futility of further explaination, and conlcudes with, "Ah, forget about it. Your right. I am just your subconscious desperately trying to encourage you to embrace this delusion as reality. But your much to sharp. I'll gpo get those Ando's. But, to preserve the longevity of this pleasant diversion from our Bothan imprisonment, let's atleast try to be subtle about our plans for Joko." [This last part is said quietly enough to prevent anyone nearby from overhearing it.]

With that, Dex will go to the bar and order up some Ando's, and some food. While at the bar, Dex will inquire about local rumors and events. He will also try to find out about local traders and the wares they sell. Committed to avoiding the mistakes that landed him in the clutches of the Bothans, Dex is also very interseted in learning about the local crime groups and their influence, though he tries to be delicate about gathering this information. He will only try to get this information if he can do so with out attracting attention or looking overly nosey.

While at the bar, I get Jarren communication. "Affirmatrive. We'll see you there." Dex thinks to himself, " I sure hope he can land that thing.

Cancelling the food, Dex takes the drinks back to the table. "Drink fast, our illusory counterpart will be crashing into the spaceport shortly, and we are to meet him there," he says, though he has the nagging feeling that Ian will opt to stay in the cantina. Dex then wolfs the ale down before leaving to meet Jarren.

[OOC: Did Cal ever say where we might find Joko?]
