Jarren:

Jarren holster's his blaster in his belt and eyes the Jawa. " I have cargo for trade but that depends on what you have. But let me make one thing clear I'm not going to pay you for my own droid. If you continue to try and steal him I will kill every one of you. Then I will go on a Holy crusade and hunt down and kill every Jawa that I come across. I will make it my personal mission to wipe out your whole race, but only if you steal my droid! So lets be friends instead. You let my droid go and I won't have to start a blood bath. And then we can talk about trading." If the Jawas say no then he will shoot the retractable device that has the magnet on the end of it hoping to disrupt the power to the magnet, assuming the magnet is powered and the retractable arm is not blaster proof. After that or if the arm is armed I'll start killing the Jawas hunting them down one at a time if I have to. If they return the droid we will start talking about trading at which point I'll get Dex on the communicator to help with the trade.

Dex:

A very satisfied smile forces itself upon me. Things are definitely beginning to look up. If Cal is representative of the kind of people here, I will enjoy this planet, I think. Smile still beaming, I flash a glance in Ian's direction before returning my gaze to Cal and replying, [If Ian responds quicker than me, I will just thank Cal for his hosipitality again. Otherwise:] "Agreed. You are most gracious. It will be our pleasure. Do you have any information on where we might find him?"

With that, I will quickly inspect the blaster before tucking it into my my pants, and concealing as best I can with my shirt. I then turn to Ian, "Shall we?", and assuming he has no other business or suggestions, I (we) make our way toward the settlement. Once out of earshot of Cal, I will radio Jarren.

"Jarren, this is Dex. You there? … Good news. We have arranged free space docking and repairs at the space dock here at the settlement, although I am assuming we will need to pay for the parts. When you can get the bucket flyable, fly it to the space dock. We will meet you there. Over."

[OOC: I am Jarren will not find much difficulty in finding the spacedock at the settlement. If this is not the case, I will deal with getting him there in my next reply]

After speaking with Jarren, I (hopefully we) make our way to the settlement.

[OOC: Greg: Very nice portrayal of Dex's character and motivations.I think you have a good grasp of his personality so far.]

Ian:

Ian is not sure that fixing the Bothan's space ship is much of a deal but then again, he offered to zap Joko out of spite without thought of reward so he feels there is no reason to feel swindled. Then again, the ship is probably as much fantasy as everything else so there is good odds that the Bothans really will not receive any really benefit.

As these thoughts pass throught Ian's mind, he is awaken by Dex's rhetorical question "shall we?"

"Lead away Specter, I have no purpose it seems other than follow my mind's projection of some subconscious hope that I have a life other than a slave." Ian smirks at Ears and picks him up onto his shoulder. "Ok my squirrelly friend, it seems our adventure is to continue in this oppressive heat. The meadows were much better."

Upon hearing Dex communicate to Jarren, he spontaneously remarks under his breath that he thinks an offer to pay for everything should include parts...not that it matters, it isn't a real ship anyway.
