Jarren:
Jarren curses, and runs to different view ports to see if he can see an
signs of the droid. "Damn, Damn, Damn " He says out loud. " Come on show
your self". As he runs to the cockpit to see what's out there, he once
again starts to think out loud. "Maybe it's some Jawas looking to trade, Or
maybe it's a beautiful women come to throw herself at my feet…." Jarren
shakes his head "I've been watching that Damn Holo to long. With my luck
it's a couple of Sand Drake Thinking that my ship is nice tasty treat with
a hard shell and a soft chewy center, or maybe a band of Blood thirsting
Sand People looking to kill and plunder." Jarren put his hand on his
blaster and smiles, "That could be fun, I nice little battle hopeless out
numbered. Oh well the droid probable just blow a fuse or something. " "Hey
Tin man I don't hear the worker droid anymore can you detect any movement
or noise outside the ship?" He asks the 3PO unit.
Ian:
Upon hearing Cal's question about being alone, Ian
looks over his shoulder to the approximate place where
he left Dex and replies "Well, I thought I was walking
with someone else but I am pretty sure it was a
halucination. I must of dismissed him from my mind
when I saw you." Ian scratches his head before
continuing while looking again at Cal, "Anyway, maybe
he will reappear at some point but I doubt you will
see him. Too bad since he is actually a decent chap."
Ian then is silient for a momment. Can this Cal be
the first real person he has seen or is he a
halucination as well? That would explain him knowing
about the ship but even Ian realizes somewhat
dim-wittedly that he would have a hard time conjuring
some character like Cal. Cal seems too…well,
weird…to be a halucination. At some point Ian
figures he would have to actually encounter a
flesh-and-blood person and not all things "detected"
by his visual cortex can be an illusion. Yes, Cal
must be real.
"Sand people you say? I am not too worried about them
since I haven't seen sand since I left the ship I was
on back some time ago. The woodlands provided quite a
bit of cover until we reached the meadow that led us
down into this river canyon." Ian replies as he
points back over his shoulder again.
"As to where I am going, I have no clue. I just
followed Dex the halucination since I figured he knew
where he was going. But, I guess that was silly to
follow a halucination! I mean, how would my
fantastical friend know where to go if I don't even
know where to go?" At that Ian chuckles at the sudden
revelation.
"So, what's got you so hot-and-bothered? This guy
really must have done something! I haven't seen
someone so blind with rage since I blew up the
shipment of smuggled fuel stocks and my partners sold
me to Bothan slave merchants."
Upon saying the last statement, a light bulb deeply
repressed in Ian's consciousness suddenly begins to
glow a bit. "Wait a second…if I was sold to Bothan
slave merchants…and I've determined you are
real…then what in the heck happened to the Bothans?"
Ian then strains deeply to figure out how he escaped
the Bothans but can't seem to recall any aspect of
that episode. "Oh well, since I don't remember
escaping the Bothans, perhaps I am still halucinating.
That would be too bad since you seem such a decent
chap and I was quite hoping you were real."
Dex:
Dex has determined that Cal poses little threat and is beginning to make his way down to the dump when Ian starts spouting off about hallucinations and forests. Dex can not help laughing to himself as he imagines what must be going through Cal's head. Dex is also happy to see a vague ray of sanity coming from Ian. Maybe Ian will be snapping out of this soon.
As I get to the entry, I hollar out to Cal and Ian, "Greetings, my good sirs. I am the hallucination going by the name of Dex. No doubt you have heard of me." When it is apprtopriate, I will ask Cal if he could spare a glass of water for me.
When the conversation steers itself to who we are and wheat we are doing, I will explain that we are traders whose ship has suffered some problems, and we are in need of some assistence. We are seeking parts for our ship, and a place to make the repairs. If he asks, I will describe the actual problems we have with the ship, but I will claim the damage is the result a navagational computer error, and an unskilled pilot. (It's so hard to find good help these days.) If it seems appropriate, I will also hint to Cal to effect that my unfortunate friend here has suffered a tragic accident that has left him lacking in perception.
I will try to find what services might be aquired there, and from who. I will also try to get a general impression of the settlement from him (Are people distrustful of strangers, prone to violence, etc.) I will also feel the guy out to see if he might want to purchase some smut holocards; if he knows someone who may be in the market for a crate full of smut holocards.
