Dex:

I reply to Jarren, trying to keep my voice as quiet as the original transmission, "Roger that. Hopefully Ian won't have had us killed by then. Let me call you back in about 10 minutes."

I then wait to see what happens with the garbage lout and Ian, thinking that this might actually turn out beter than plan would have.

Ian:

Ian looks at the homesteader seriously for a momment than bursts out laughing while extending his hand to the man "Ok, we won't fire at each other…we can work up to that later on. How about some lessons?"

Ian, who hopefully can fire a blaster somewhat well, will then go with the homesteader and work on blasting. Although Ian thinks this man is a halucination also, he can relate to him well since they are both fringers.
