Jarren the Blue:
After watching the halo for a few minutes Jarren wakes himself out of the
trance he was in "I've better get back to work" he heads back to the
cockpit to pick up the communicator still watches the two women just barely
stopping himself before walking into the bulkhead. After cursing to
himself he picks up the communicator and gets back to work. Jarren repairs
the systems one at a time checking them off his mental list. He then Yells
to Tin Man " What is the ETA on the Worker Droid finishing up on the
Engines" As the Droid starts to reply I'll ask "Find out about the Turret
also." waiting a few seconds I'll say "well what's the answer" letting him
know that I don't have all day. During my work if I have to travel past the
crew rest area I'll stop and watch the Halo for a few seconds then shake my
head and continue on my way. Since I have the Halo set to repeat the movie
stays on all day. Once I get the info on how long until the outside work
will be done I try to figure out when I'll be done with the stuff that I'm
working on that will allow me to fly this thing to the Settlement if I have
too. I would like an idea of how long it would take me to fix everything
that's on my list that needs to be fixed.
Stripe:
Damn, what I wouldn't do for a blaster right now. I sneak a look on the sly to the blaster tucked into the waisteband of Ian. Hmm…What wouldn't I do. Could I take him? He's pretty loaded… No, I had better not. He might be able to use the thing better than me, and besides, there's no telling what he would if I failed. I recall something to the effect of 'A bottle of Ano, a blaster…who would have thought the thing would have exploded…'
"Be ready for anything," I say to Ian. "Stay low and quiet." Please let this lunatic take this seriously enough not to get me killed, I think to myself, and continue on toward the settlement, being extra cautious. I am taking time time make spot and listen checks every 20 meters, and I am trying to move silently and hidden. I will also keep an eye on Ian. I am terribly afraid that he is going to do something that will get us in trouble.
Ian - Lord of the Cosmos:
Half-heartedly humming to myself any number of tunes suitable for a walk
through the mountains and meadows, I continue to enjoy the grandeurs of
nature. It appears to me that we have strolled down to the valley floor
where we are hiking along a pleasant river fenced with willows and shady
trees. Ahhh, nature--the fresh air and sound of birds….Wait, those last
sounds did not appear to be birds but rather….blasters.
I look over and see Dex hoping from boulder to boulder still following the
river: at times concentrating forward and others looking back with an
expression of? It somewhat appears to be a mix between anger and pleading,
but pleading for what? Ohh blasters! Maybe I better move over to a boulder
also. "Where are the blasters coming from and why are they in my dream,
especially in the middle of this pristine wilderness?" I think to myself.
Behind the boulder I am truly perplexed until it dawns on me: hunters! I
run over to Dex and say as I gesticulate towards the right "Not a bad idea
to get cover until we can get close enough to the hunters and let them know
we are here. Who knows? Maybe some wild game will run our way and we can
bag one before it crosses the river and heads up the canyon over there." I
pause for a second as the wheels move slowly through my mind before I
continue "If there is more than one game, point out the one you want for
dinner and I shoot it."
I reach behind me and pull out the blaster, take off safety and set it to
kill.
"You have more Ando, mate?" I ask Dex nonchalantly.
